    Don't underestimate the 8" Tornado search coil on the Sovereign. Fantastic coil as well. Better probably for parks and other locations. Just was too small for me searching gigantic open areas of the endless beach.

    The 10" x 12" SEF was my favorite coil, and used it for years on my Excalibur II with fantastic results. I eventually moved on to the Ultimate 13". I wish they had one for the Manticore. 😁

    I have the Manticore and selling the Deus II's, will never sell the Deus I, or the Sovereign GT, or the GPX 5000. Sold the Legend. Most importantly, get the fullest potential by learning the detector that you like to use. JMO.

    Anybody know when the large/small coils will come out of the Manticore?

    I got the 15", Fort Bedford Metal Detectors. Every coil has their place, even though I prefer the smaller ones. I wish they'd make a 6-7" coil, like on the Equinox. I always loved that coil, same as everyone does on the Legend.

    I came up with an idea, so I thought, to where I could find a Double ended 1/4" female adapter, and plug the Minelab 1/8" cable plug into a 1/4" male adapter, and then plug that into one side of the female adapter, that way I could plug my headphones into the other side, but I guess the Minelab...

    Yes it is. If you look at the information on the Dankowski's site, it shows that this coil has the ability to find very small gold, very interesting, but not unexpected. Still learning the Manticore. Not very happy that I can't use my favorite headphones yet, but that's a different story.

    Wow, that's quite a story. They obviously have some poor management in place. Seems Corporate greed dominates. I've worked in the Aerospace industry for years, and it's the same story of: "Management vs. Engineers". I do love the Manticore though, it's quite a detector.
