    Todays heartbreaker find...

It may be Titanium, but no marking inside. I was thinking stainless steel since it is so light, but it does have appearance of Titanium Thanks!

Old corroded ring stamped with 18K

That is an odd one…. Too high of a TID to be gold… maybe gold plated copper is my guess. I have found several ring around old house sites that looked to be copper, but may have been plated at one time.

Hunted for train robbery treasure today

I came across an article about that robbery… pretty interesting. It stated that the robbers made several attempts to blow up the safe door, failing twice then trying again after placing the bags of Mexican coins on top of the dynamite for “ballast”. The door to the safe finally came open and all...

Hunted for train robbery treasure today

Pretty interesting history!! I looked through a book I have on bullets used during the Civil War, and did not see anything resembling yours, so most likely post Civil War. I then looked through an old repo edition of an 1897 Sears catalogue and did not see anything there either that looked like...

    Todays heartbreaker find...

My buddy found a nice 14k wedding band a few days earlier at another lake we were detecting at, so there is always hope!🤞🤞 I did pretty good in the river last year, but only been once this year due to too much rain here… the river is too high to detect right now…😩

    Todays heartbreaker find...

My buddy and I went water detecting for a while today and early into the hunt, I got a nickel range signal on my XTP. I scoop up the target and looked in the scoop and saw a ring. Looked like white gold and with the TID reading, I thought surely I had a gold band... until I reached in the scoop...

    Multi IQ on the Elite

I think the reason they mention the frequencies on the Equinox is that they are all selectable as a single frequency….at least on the 800 and 900. The 600 and 700 run the same frequencies as the 800/900 in multi frequency, but not all can be selected to run as a single frequency. I would think...

Interesting find made with my Quattro

Using the bottom character on your coin, I think it dates from 1821-1850. I am having trouble with my internet, but as soon I am back up, I will send more information to you. Nice find!!

    X-Terra Elite On The Way

Nice choice! I too have an XTP. At some point you might be interested in getting the 5x8 coil for it.

Interesting find made with my Quattro

I have found two or three of them around old house sites. As best as I can recall, the symbols on the ones I have are very similar to yours. Nice find! I found a website some years ago to help date the coins I found, but can’t recall the details.

    Manticore loves iron

Pretty interesting assessment Mark. I’m still running the 800, but bought an XTP to use in water. It has done well on land too and for the price, I am very pleased with it. Can you elaborate performance wise what you notice between the 800 and 900? Just curious….thanks.

My biggest one day tot lot haul ever!!

Ted, I occasionally run the 6” coil on my 800 and as long as I do not try to move too fast, it does well even in larger areas..I think i tend to hunt closer with it than i do with the stock coil sometimes. Sure makes the detector lighter too allowing me to hunt longer too..

My biggest one day tot lot haul ever!!

I bet that grassy area was loaded too Donna… a buddy and I stumbled on to a site like this a few years ago…. Apparently it had never been detected or had not been detected for a long time.. the wood chip areas were loaded with coins and the grass was polluted with coins!! Fortunately we did not...

I got in the water today

Great finds…. And I bet the water was nice too…. That’s one way to beat the heat and keep detecting… I tried river hunting for the first time last year and had a ball finding coins… all modern except for a late 17- early 1800’s large cent that I found near an old ferry crossing.
