    You were right, Mike Hillis

One an earlier thread I asked what to expect out of the 11" DD for the F5. You were on the money, as it doesn't appear to go any deeper and the separation is better. The DD does cover more ground because of the extended depth on each end compared to the typical cone shape of the elliptical...

    WTT Tesoro Deleon w/xtra coils

For an Xterra 50/70. Pics available. In excellent shape with additional 10X12" and 7" concentric over the stock 8X9" coil. Dan

What differences can I expect with the 11" DD coil over the stock coil on a F5?

I guess I'm asking if it's worth the price. Thanks:thumbup:

    Question on F5 coils

Has anyone tried the 8" spider coil? Just wondered if there was any advantages over the 10" stock elliptical coil. Dan

    Anyone using the Predator Raptor?

By George Lesche. Just want to know what everyone thinks before I look into getting one. My soil is dirt with some clay areas. I have the regular Lesche, but the Raptor looks like it would get the deeper dirt better. Thanks Dan

    Opinion please

I like my Deleon. But two things I wish it had was multitone and ground balance. Lately I have been looking at possibly trading for a Fisher F5. Only saw the video on one. I've been hoping Tesoro would come out with a new TID unit. Just wondering if trading would be a wise move or continuing...

    WTB An older Tesoro

Would like ground balance but doesn't have to have. Need to be able to use my Deleon coils on it as a second detector. Thanks Dan

    WTT NIB Land Star

(Radio Shack version) for........something different. Bought it for my son and he's shipping out. Never used. Can add some PayPal bucks for higher end unit. What have you got?

    New BH detector (kinda)

Well, I won a Radio Shack 3015 which looks just like the Land Star. Never opened, still in box and paid $103 including headphones that are NIB also. After reading the Land Star manual, I'm trying to figure out the unit before it gets here. I thought GroundTrac automatically adjusted ground...

    Guess I'll hang around here

I usually post in the Tesoro forum, but today just won a Radio Shack version of the Land Star. Never tried a BH, but it has more features than my Deleon (especially GB). I'll see what I can do with this puppy in the weeks to come. I actually bought it for my 22 year old son to learn on while...

WTT my almost new Compadre (5.75" coil)

Towards a Fisher F2. The Compadre is like new, used a few times as I bought it to complement my Deleon for the trashy areas. Only used it a few times on a park. Need the TID for my son who is getting the bug. Dan

    Looking for that deep detector?

Reading through the many MD forums on the NET, it appears that most people are making a quest to finding the deepest seeking MD, and many wanting TID as well. If there were one unit that was deepest with TID, everyone would have one. And if.........say.........Minelabs were deepest, we would...

    Ground balance issue

With my Deleon. when I am in the AM mode, and pump the ground, my VCO goes nuts. Now, when I used to GB my Bandido, it was only nuts when my GB was way off. As I got closer to good GB, that VCO was not as erratic. So what I am saying is, it appears my factory set GB is way off. Not having...

Hope a Mod doesn't move this.......a GPS question.

If any of my Tesoro buddies use a GPS, could you mosey over the the findmall GPS site and give some input on your GPS experience. I don't want to tie up this forum, but the GPS forum doesn't have a lot of activity right now. I have posted a question there. Please post replies there and not here...

    Looking at GPS

Thought I might get some help here. Looked at Tom Tom, Garmin, Magellan, and one called a Nav740 by V7. I had it narrowed down to the TT XL-S or the Garmin Nuvi 650, then this V7 seems to be getting a lot of attention lately. Anyone have any input on these. I want (of course) good maps and not...

    Common sense for better depth

I stopped by a wayside park yesterday when I happened to see an older man swinging a coil. After a little chit chat, I pulled out my Compadre and swung for about 45 minutes with him. He had a Fisher 1212 and was just a gettin it. Without seeming rude, I watched as he searched only to come up...

Does anyone use the PP on a Tesoro?

I played around with a Vaquero the other day. The only advantage I see it for is AM. Tesoros are so fast, I think the PP button is a waste of space. James and Vince must have put it there just to say it has one like other manufacturers do, but the others need them. Tesoro's don't, IMO.

    Anyone been here?

Lots of Metal Detecting info The guy has a lot of info. Doesn't like Archaeologists much. Has a lot of info about laws also.

    Cortez questions

Most of you know that I have a Deleon. It is my main detector (though my new Compadre has been soaking up some swings lately). I have a few questions about the Cortez compared to my Deleon, as I may upgrade if feasible. Both detectors have the same circuitry, so all mt coils will work and the...
