Today at the beach, and a change in luck.. + Cleaning Help..

Hi Gundog, It's always cool to meet a detectorist on the beach and on the forum as well. I did the same thing, headed to surfside pier. But wife called and had to run. Just FYI I never find anything at surfside pier. Congrats on the ring. Looks like it may have some age to it.$$ Enjoyed...

Today at the beach, and a change in luck.. + Cleaning Help..

I went to the beach again this morning choosing Garden City since I had been working different parts of Myrtle beach for the past week or so. When I arrived I noticed a swashed out area that ran all the way to the pier. I would say about 900 yds. Well as soon as I started I found a penny. Which...

    Single Frequency.. With salt Compensate

Hi all, I was at the beach again today. I was trying to use 7.5 single frequency with salt compensate. Figuring that I could get a little deeper using one frequency instead of three. Is this possible. whenever I tried, it would take off the salt compensate, and my V3i would go crazy. thank...

Hello to all. I have had my V3i for just one year now. The metal rods for adjusting the fit of the headphones are beginning to rust.. I have the cordless headphones and they cost like $300 or $400. I should not be having this problem... Is this happening to anyone else? Yes I do mostly beach...

    Cleaning Help Please...

Hello everyone, I was recently out at an old plantation dating back to the 1700's. I was using my V3i in Salt Beach mode. I found some nice items. One of which was what looks like a old copper coin. It is completely green and I can not see anything to tell for sure. Can anyone tell me how to...

Anyone Use a V3i for beach hunting ????

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone uses a Whites V3i on the beach. If so Im looking to find a deep setting. I was out at the beach last week just tunning. I could pick up a gold ring at 16" but was very unstable. I found this odd, because I have dug up a penny before at 24". Thanks FERD

    Disappointed in weather cover....

Well I found something that Whites makes that I am not to pleased with. I recently purchased a cover from whites for the box of my detector. I used a coupon so it only cost me $10.00 ( if I paid the $20.00 I would have been upset). Anyway, when looking at the picture it looks like a heavier...

What kind of hunting do you do?

I mainly hunt the beaches. I live in Myrtle Beach SC so the summer months were great. I keep hearing how good the winter months are, but I have yet to see that. I have hunted a few parks around here but they are all under 15 years old. So not much luck there either. I take the occasional trips...
