    Found Mickey

This was one of the last finds in the school yard just before the police requested for me to move along. He seemed to be getting kinda lonesome, so I went to the ballpark and picked up the necklase to keep him company.

Can you make out the train on this?

I dug this button up in a local park. It has an old steam engine on it, if you can make it out. There is nothing left of the back...just this flat piece. I suspect tht it might have been a coat button or some such thing.

    One last foreign coin

Here's a look at my Jamaican $20 coin that, again, came from a school yard. I was pretty excited until I looked up the exchange rate on Jamaican money. MrGee

Now you gotta look at my Irish coin

Found this in an Elementary school payground a few miles north of here. You can't see it in the picture, but at the very bottom under the deer - excuse me, the red deer - it says 1 pound (I don't know where that symbol is on here) MrGee

this is one of the game pieces from a Monopoly game before they switched to colored plastic pieces. (We had one of the older ones when I was a kid. this was found in a school yard here in town. Picture 2 is another playing piece that I found in a park in a neighboring town. The third...

    Unknown Oriental coin

Some time back I mentioned that I had found a coin that I couldn't identify. Well, I think I've got this picture thing under control so now I need you folks to take a look and tell me what the devil it is. (My Mother would be ashamed of my dirty fingernails, but what the heck..I'm a dirt...

Who was talking about checking new sidewalk projects?

They are replacing the sidewalks on my block. Checked after they took out the old sidewalk on both sides of the whole block. Lots more rusty nails than I would have expected but not one coin or "keepable" relic. Waaaah! What a bummer.

    Yesterdays hunt

In a small town just north of me, in a school playground, I found an Irish 1 pound coin. I added it to the $20 Jamaican coin that I found a couple of months ago in a school yard here in town. Also in that collecction I have a still unidentified Oriental coin with a denomination of 10...

since it was too hot to go out at mid day today.............

.....I wandered into the local pawn shop. I was thinking about a camera to take pictures of my finds, but what to my wondering eyes should appear, but an Ace 250 identical to mine. It powered up properly when I turned it on, but can't tell too much in a store. they are asking $140 for it...

...for the first time. I was working the lawn around the middle school. I never worked it before but decided to give it a try yesterday after work. Went down for about an hour and found 21 coins - none more thatn 2-3 inches deep. Decided it was promising enough to try again this morning...

    A friend lost his ring....

..so he called me to ask if I could find it for him. He was standing on his deck and wasnt sure if it went through the space between the deck boards or bounced off the edge.He told me that it was a narrow band of gold between two bands of titanium. Now, the situation is this - there used to...

    Ace 250 Custom Mode

From the owners manual I understand that whatever I set on custom mode should be saved for the next session after power off. For some reason, when I tutn mine off and then back on, it defaults to only iron notched out. What's up with that? Why won't it save my "custom" settings? MrGee
