    ?

I wasn't talking about a seed plate, I was talking about a clutch to disconnect the seed plate or sickle bar from the wheels that drive it. I thought it looked to be cast iron.

    waterproof headphones on the legend

I have Grey Ghost ones and they seem quieter than the wireless ones. I was surprised at that. For sure they are quieter than the ones on my old Tesoro Stingray. When I sent it in to replace the coil, I asked if Tesoro could cut the volume a bit as on land it was way to loud for me but I was...

    Profiles

If you have modified factory defaults on your Legend and wonder if the factory default is better, you do not have to do a factory reset, just open a new profile. Any new one opened is at factory default settings and it only affects the mode you are in, not all of them. I am using only two...

    ?

I would guess part of horse drawn planting equipment that can be disengaged to prevent it from dropping seeds or preventing a sickle bar from cutting while moving to and from planting.

    Mining for lead

The ring can be caused by the wrong top punch of a lube-sizer or wrong one on a seating die but it can also be caused by the ramrod of a muzzleloader so I don't think it gives any indication of age. Wadcutters are flat or maybe with a small dimple in the middle. They are designed to cut paper...

Mark kus is a great asset to this forum with all his finds and advice. I do appreciate his posts very much.

    Arm Cuff Padding

While using, I can’t tell the difference between my F75 with padding and my Deus, Vanquish, and Legend without. I don’t see the big deal about it.

    Coin tumbling question…

I found out early! I was horrified at all the pink clad.

    Coin tumbling question…

I took some crusted copper pennies and put them in straight white vinegar with salt overnight. This removed the crust and patina both and left an ugly finish but there was no color other than dull copper. This should be highly not recommended for nice or rare coins as any patina is destroyed...

    Legend Trouble Shooting

Did you try holding the power/settings button for 30 seconds like the manual suggests when SE appears on the screen? It is on page 28.

GTI 2500 Closet Queen - I need a value on it

It looks like $1049 new at Bass Pro, Amazon, Cabellas, and a few other places. A sight called Big Bargain Cave says they have some for $83.84. I would say somewhere between these two figures, lol.

I have a Minelab vanquish 540 and new to this great hobby. Please could people tell me the best settings to find coins. Thanks

Basically, turn it on and listen. If it is too noisy, turn it down. There are, in my opinion, no best settings for everyone, they are all good for someone or another. I would suggest that since Minelab thinks their coin program is best for coins, that would be the one to start with.

What a bargain! You can't buy three of their coils new for that price.

    F75

I have the F75+. It has DST, FA mode, iron volume in 2 tone, boost and CL processes. The manual says F75+ Special Edition. If you buy a new one, the SE and + are the same except the marking on the arm rest. If you buy used, it is not that simple.

Found this old horseshoe, never seen before, with the attached lower cross brace at bottom of shoe. Any thoughts?

From: https://www.equiniction.com/six-different-types-of-horse-shoes-uses-and-where-to-purchase/ 6. Bar shoes: The bar shoe is an important component of remedial shoeing – the art of shoeing horses with foot problems in order to help alleviate the problems. Bar shoes, instead of being U-shaped...

    Mining for lead

Bullet in the middle picture on the bottom left looks like a cleaner. All the bullets have a patina, just not a white one. I don't have civil war sites here but I have found a military 50-70 cartridge, that was adopted by the US government from 1866 to 1873 until replaced by the 45-70, that...

What happened to the Vista X Faceplate & Knobs?

Other than the black, they are all ugly and mismatched in my eyes. I'm sure glad mine are like the first pic.

    Battery Pack or the Legend

I never said that, that was just one way I have used it. They put the bracket underneath to carry it. I just usually don't. Charging the Legend takes 3 or 4 hours according to the manual. The battery capacities are there too. You have read the manual, right? You can use the extra battery...
