gold Monster 2000- dual PI and multi freq announced

If the pulse induction part of the Goldmonster 2000 was mostly on the transmit side of the detector with VLF SMF tech just helping with the receive side signal processing, it might be an improvement over both current PIs and detectors like the Sov. That is not what is happening with the...

gold Monster 2000- dual PI and multi freq announced

Goldmonster 1000 is still in production and MSRP currently is $849 US. Goldmonster 2000 will have to cost more.

gold Monster 2000- dual PI and multi freq announced

October 2025 at the earliest according to the Minelab rep I talked to at a recent national metal detecting hunt where Minelab USA had a demo tent. She doesn't expect to even get one for demo until at least September. It is primarily a gold prospecting detector. Whether it will work well on a...

The New Garrett VORTEX VX9 Just Got A Whole Lot Better!

I have used the Vortex VX9, tested it for over a week. I own a Whites VX3 and have owned the V3i and DFX, all of the MXT models including the MX5 and MX7, I own a Whites Goldmaster 24k and I have owned the Whites TDI and TDI SL. It's a fact that Garrett released their own version of the Whites...

    Frequency question

With Deus 2, you can see what the frequency changes to using the two selectable single frequency programs Mono and Fast 40. When you do a frequency shift using those two programs, the exact frequency will be shown. XP does not show the exact frequency being used for the Max frequency when you...

    Manticore loves iron

This is something I use sometimes to help me decide to dig or not. It might give you another diagnostic option. I switch to All Terrain High Conductors to investigate a questionable target that could be a piece of high tone falsing iron. I have ATHC setup with the same 5 tone audio as All...

    Manticore loves iron

I use All Terrain General with a similar setup to what you described. I did have to turn up the ferrous tone volume a lot to be able to hear it clearly. The M105 headphones have a more lively sound quality than the previous model that came with the 600/800 but at least to my ears, they still...

    Manticore loves iron

The only times that I dig iron or steel by accident is when they are at edge of detection depths. Otherwise, iron and steel targets that are mid depth to shallow are easy for me to determine by their audio responses, intermittent red numbers and target traces.

    Manticore loves iron

Did you have iron audio turned ON?

    manticore

Sube might be correct for where he detects. He is definitely not correct where I detect. Handfuls of silver keep coming out of the ground for me using the Manticore and Deus 2. They make a great combo. Manticore especially with the M15 coil is simply deeper than Deus 2 with any coil here. Deus...

    Why no 9 inch coil?

I I'm almost 70 and coil weight definitely matters to me too. The LG30-12X9" coil is a lot lighter than the original Legend LG28 11X11" coil so my reference to lightweight is compared to the 11X11" coil which plenty of new Legend owners have never experienced. Weight difference is almost 2...

    Question??

Minelab had a plan based on the Manticore target IDs and they incorporated those IDs into the Equinox 700, 900, X Terra Pro and X Terra Elite to make them all uniform. I had a long phone conversation with one of the Equinox engineers in Australia. He said they just wanted to go in a different...

I was wrong about the Manticore.

I was wrong about the Manticore too initially. I didn't believe that I had missed much of anything after using the Equinox 600 and 800, Nokta Legend and Deus 1/ORX along with a V3i, DFX, Etrac and many, many others. I just figured that Multi IQ+ was more of the same and since I didn't care much...

    Why no 9 inch coil?

The Legend has two 9" coils already. The LG24 9.5X6" that has already been mentioned and the LG30 12X9" coil that comes stock with the 2nd gen Legends. Both are really lightweight and work great. So, I don't see any reason why Nokta should make a 9" round coil just to be like the Manitcore or XP.

    Look What He Got Me

I agree with T-DUB, the General program right out of the box is outstanding. Try the default PWM audio type. If it drives you crazy or makes you laugh uncontrollably like it does me, try Square and Hi Square audio type under the Audio heading after navigating to the Options menu (top left...

    Deus 2 HF Coils

Like Gary Blackwell said in his first HF2 video, the HF2 coil is obviously a gold prospecting coil. Hopefully the HF2 coil is going to really bring Deus 2 up to the level of the Manticore as a gold prospecting detector. Put your Manticore and Deus 2 in their SMF gold field modes and test the...

    Deus 2 HF Coils

If you don’t want the tiny bits, just set the max frequency at 24 kHz or a bit lower.
  18. J

    Deus 2 HF Coils

For a gold prospector using a PI or VLF detector, a 0.5 gram target like an .177 air gun pellet would be an easily detectable target. Not tiny at all. Tiny for us is a sub 0.1 gram or smaller target like a #9 shotgun bird hunting pellet. Right now, a 0.5 gram nugget is worth $50, so definitely...

    Deus 2 HF Coils

XP deliberately setup Deus 2 to be slightly insensitive to really small targets using the FMF modes. One of those FMF modes is a designated gold prospecting mode. So poor sensitivity to targets smaller than .3 grams and gold prospecting or micro jewelry huntingin mineralized ground/beach without...
