Last 2 hunts in the woods

Back in the old woods for 2 more quick hunts, time has been limited. All finds made with the M8 and M9 coils for Manticore, love them both! The Ford token is fun, was given out at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. Finds came from a chronically flooded area so some cleaning on a few was required for...

Not true at all, stay after it! 1830's is awfully tough but there's some history. JJ

Hello all, just registered just purchased a manticore.

Lots of great instructional videos online, stick with it and learn as you go. Don't give up and unload it, you'll regret it. Understand what settings do what and make it as simple or complicated as you like. It's a great machine to hunt out of the box. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask. JJ

    Manticore Tones

Oh I understand it's more than capable. My only point was I feel like they went thru the budget on design and function and the user interface was a cheap afterthought. Like 40 yr old tech afterthought. Like forking out for a new Lambo to find it only comes with a factory AM radio. It's still a...

    Manticore Tones

Completely agree!! Got my wife a D2, I know its an absolute beast! Looks like it was built by NASA. But I have 20 yr old Ipods in a box with a more appealing user interface and menus. Tonal quality reminds me of being pestered by mosquitoes. Im sure I'll grow to appreciate it but she loves it...

Manticore - Are you only digging targets reporting on the center line of screen ?

Center line is only one of many factors before I dig. I use 2D more to help with iron. Age of site, common depth of desired known targets, iron mix, known trash mix, stable/reasonable ID. If it checks most of my boxes, I will investigate the oddball numbers. Interesting video and info, thank you. JJ
