    Silver streak continues!

I've literally been hunting 4 times with my new CTX and I have returned with silver EVERY time so far! Unfortunately I've only been able to get out for an hour or two each time. I have dug some super deep rusty nails, a few beaver tails and a handful of modern clad but for the most part this...

Just got my CTX! This thing is incredible!

Moved up from my trusty X terra 70 to the CTX. All I can say is WOW! I went to a house that I hammered with my x70 and the CTX was pulling coin after coin from an average of 7 inches. The deepest was around 10 inches! I don't even know what im doing with this thing yet and I'm pulling wheats and...

    Here we go again...:surrender:

In the past couple weeks I've been really putting in some hours swinging my x70. Problem is I'm not finding anything cool! To date I've found one silver coin. It really chaps my ass when I literally hunt for about four to five hours a day at homes, sidewalks, schools and parks that are all pre...

    First silver spoon!

While I was detecting around a home that was built in 1910 I got a good repeatable signal reading 46 on the ole TID. Down about 3.5" and I found a three to four inch long silver sugar spoon :detecting: It was a little tarnished in places but in overall good condition. I was praying for my first...

Finally got my first silver!!!! and more :)

Well... I finally got my first silver! It took waaaaay to long. I guess it helps if you swing over it ;) I was doing some curb hunting in an older part of town. Sensitivity 30, GB on tracking, using pattern 1 with nothing notched out, 6" HF coil, 4 tones. came in as a steady 38... just like...

    Just can't find silver coins?!?!

I'm no expert, but I think I know my my XT 70 pretty well. I'm using my 6" HF DD in trashy areas, my stock coil in medium trash and I also the HF eliptical that I through on from time to time. I dig mostly consistent signals that hit from multi directions. I mostly hunt in 4tone with...

My first ever pre 1900's coin! (and others)

I noticed a vacant house yesterday about a mile away from where I live. I dont know why I'd never noticed it before. It had circa 1900 construction and a GIANT cotton wood tree. I figured what the hell... I'll give it a couple hours. To my surprise it had never been hit before. I was popping...

    Questions about eastern OR area's

Hey guys and gals. I'm headed out this week to have some fun! I was wondering if anyone has been to the pine creek area in Baker county OR. Or if anyone has some other good places that I might have any luck. I've been in area's where there's gold. Just haven't swung over any yet Any help would...

The X-70 scored my first gold ring today:)

It was the usual afternoon hunt down by the rivers edge. With temps around the Boise area heating up, the beaches were getting crowded with families looking to escape the wrath of the sun. The sands where full of the usual modern day clad, pull tabs, vintage beer cans at astonishing depths...

What's your favorite coin hunting coil?

I'm in the market for a new coil for hunting low to moderate trashy areas with low to moderate mineralization. What's your favorites? Really wish there was a 3khz 6" coil though:( Minelab.... are you listening!???????

Anyone know of any good ghost towns in the Boise area?

I've been itching to find something pre-1900's and some silver would be nice too. Any Idea's? Thanks.
