    I bought the shorter antenna wire. Just about 4 wraps andI'm done. I hated the long one. No problems with water hunting. with the antenna wire, the machine performs great with it.

    LEAKING NOX 800

    I would take another 800 into the water. The 900 is a different story. I've used mine on and off in the water all summer. It is a really fine machine and hasn't leaked.

    Most Hated Words for a beach detectorist....

    I checked with 4 cal pawn shops recently. None of them will buy them anymore. One shop had a sign up " we only buy gold and silver, no tungsten or stainless". The market is flooded with them.

    I have the 9" also. Personally I don't like anything over 11". Over 11 and they start to feel awkward to me.

    If you can afford it I'd buy a 900 and a 5X10 Coiltek coil for it. Very good set up and a 6" coil comes with the 900.
