    Minelab Manticore

I’m gonna wait a good while to see results. Right now the Deus II is in my sights but I’m still in ‘wait mode’ there too. If they’re equal performers I’ll go Deus due to wireless. I’m a little different since I don’t hunt parks or very many high use areas - except beaches - in search of what...

    Nuggetshooting in the Big Az!

I was surprised that the 800 worked as well as it did. Now I didn’t find any gold but I did find small bits of iron and even some bird shot, and if you can find bird shot you can find gold! I ran it in both of the gold programs and experimented with sensitivity. Now it does like hot rocks but...

    Nuggetshooting in the Big Az!

About to jump on the plane home…with NO gold! My buddy did find 3 small ones today though-together they were just over 3 grams. It was a fun time! Got to use my equinox for relic hunting a miners camp, my 2300 backpacking into a couple areas, and my buddy’s GPZ to scour an old hillside patch...

    Nuggetshooting in the Big Az!

Well as of today all I have are pictures and memories! One more day but admittedly, we’re all whooped from the terrain! I’ve been taking video so I’ll load that to YouTube in a week or so. Pending tomorrow’s results!

    Nuggetshooting in the Big Az!

Well one of our claims has produced about 11-12 ounces so far, but our detectors have been silent for quite awhile out there. We’re just waiting for our plan of operation to be approved to bring in a small excavator-MIGHT hit the mother lode, we’ll just see! Today was a blank except for some...

    Nuggetshooting in the Big Az!

So far two days of brutal terrain, beautiful scenery, beautiful weather…but no gold yet! 3 more days…

    Nuggetshooting in the Big Az!

I’m about to board a plane to Az where I will spend the next several days detecting in the Bradshaw mountains! Hopefully I’ll have some results to post…

What does revelations tell us how to interpret Ukraine invasion?

Best explanation I’ve heard is the Ezekiel 38-Gog Magog war. However, a lot has to happen if this is indeed the beginning of that. We shouldn’t be distressed-how many times did Jesus say not to worry? Seems it was somewhere past 300 times! This is the time that we’re supposed to keeping our eyes...

How to and Pictures of repaired equinox coil.

Wondering if this should just be a ‘mod’ we do that might prevent breakage beforehand..? This is greatness!

Detecting for gold - finding bits of mining history

Greatness! Ive begun to really seek out old camps while prospecting because you never know what cool things were left behind. My wanderings are in the Bradshaw Mountains of Arizona. One camp I found is on patented property (no govt regs about old relics) and we walked past it a bunch of times...

    DEUS II EMI Issue?

The same thing happens with a PI machine! My SDC2300 will lose performance if my phone is on and in my front pocket, and I will only occasionally hear any EMI from it. Once I realized that the phone started spending most of its time turned off and in a signal shielding pouch. Now if I could just...

    Equinox getting dumped

I quite likely will. When I got my equinox I had a Deus also. I decided the equinox was the main machine based on its ability to hunt beaches and be waterproof so I sold the Deus. I have regretted that decision ever since! For some reason it was like I was one with that machine, but even more...

    Sling/Harness for Equinox 800?

I made a sling for my SDC2300 based off of several designs I had seen. Your post makes me wonder about using it on my Eqx… The ergonomics on almost all Minelabs are awful and being tall plus being generally beat up in life-resulting in all kinds of pain, slings help! One of my go to creations is...

It's refreshing to see more well rounded reviews.

Still hashing and rehashing the merits of a review by a person who got a detector for free…really? There are obviously some high horse riders trying to strut their stuff-or lack thereof-still! The Deus II is certainly a game changer, even if it performed 10% better than the Deus I! Why? Well...

    I’ve never updated my machine…

Interesting about coins on edge… I’ve found many that way but maybe because I grid one way and then the other?

    I’ve never updated my machine…

Ok, sounds like I’m not missing too much! I’ve always liked how the machine runs and I have found some dang good stuff with it.

    I’ve never updated my machine…

Thanks for the info! I used to be more on top of such things when I detected a lot, but the last few years have been a whirlwind… I need to slow down and do more detecting!

    I’ve never updated my machine…

I’ve been doing a little research on the updates for the equinox since I have never done even the first update after owning my machine for about three years now. It seems like there are mixed reviews on whether updates should be done, which updates, and I’ve even seen some feedback saying that...

    Thanks Calabash

Add me to the list! I really enjoy the videos and seeing the different scenarios that the detector apparently does very well in. The only thing for me that might be missing I guess until I get my hands on one personally, is to see how it does in the gold fields… But the real elephant in the room...
