    Manticore battery life.

Steve, sorry to hear about your mom. My hope is I'm gone before I get to the point that I need my kids or some kind of assisted living care. Busy's good. That usually translate to success. Or on the way. As far as the silver, that is not all from this year. 43 were last year which included 2...

    Manticore battery life.

Wow, haven't seen a post from you in a while. Everything ok ? Do you make it back to Pittsburgh any more or have you been too busy. Looks like the business took off pretty well. I don't see your buddy John posting any videos either. Since I got the Manticore in Dec. 24 I have been hunting two of...

    Manticore battery life.

laplander, mine from the gitgo in ATLC background screen on wouldn't last 6 hours. Thing is, its hard to see the screen in daylight (almost as bad as the Etrac was ) and I wanted to see the trace and learn what it was trying to show. Duh, several hundred hours later I'm still learning. Ha ha...

    Manticore battery life.

Those are some great finds congrats. Love the heel plate. To your question yes, & yes. I use the R&B, also run the 9in. coil. It does help balance out the machine and quite honestly I don't notice the added weight. I learned quickly the battery life is nowhere near adequate for a full day of...

    Manticore w/ 9in. coil depth.

Watched the latest episode of the Hoover Boys last evening. Anybody that has depth concerns about the 9in. coil might want to watch. He hits a capped bust half at a good 13-14 inches down. He didn't mention anything about recovery speed but from how tight the signal was it didn't seem to be too...

    Bust in the midwest

Oh yeah, a capped bust silver of any kind is a dream bucket lister for me, add in its a half dime and you have one heck of a save. Congrats, and on shield nickel and other keepers as well. Seems like you see more half dimes posted than shield nickels. To get both in one hunt is rare. Good luck.

Last 2 hunts in the woods

Awesome outing! You did quite well. Congrats on the shiny, Ihp, Buff and other keepers. I really love the V8 Ford token. That has been # 1 on my token bucket list forever. I've dug a Packard, the Pontiac Chief of Sixes and even a Chevy but can't seem to get over the V8 Ford. Good luck. Mark

Manticore owners: Do i need 1?

Hey Mark, if I'm not mistaken there has only been the one update. Right ?

    Manticore Vs Deus 2

3.7.1 + 66 is the latest. Easy check, just scroll to Ferrous tones, scroll over to stabiliser arrow over for filter. If you have the stabiliser filter you're good. That was added in the one and only update the Manticore had.

(Want to buy) WTB Minelab Equinox 900 or Manticore

Donna, not a beach hunter but having used the 900 for a year and half and now the Manticore for a little over a year IMHO do yourself a favor and go with a Manticore. Again just my 2 cents.

    Sundays finds

Number 1 on my coin bucketlist also. Man what a beauty, congrats on the 2 cent piece. In that scenario it trumps the Barber IMO, sweetin with the Ihp and can't get much better than that. Well done and good luck on your return.

First Silver FTY is a Barber Dime

Thanks Ted. Yes, the rain should soften things up a bit. Rain all week here too. Good luck.

First Silver FTY is a Barber Dime

Unfortunately no. I've only dug one 1916 and that was worn so thin you could barely see the year, forget about a mint mark. I did get a beautiful 1923 w/ full split bands in an old coin spill (same park ) a few years back. The dateless SLQ in the pic is a Type 1.

    Straw field finds

Thats some fine saves there, congrats on the seated half dime, Reale and Merc. A half dime and any Spanish silver is still on my list. I would hit that place again. Good luck.

First Silver FTY is a Barber Dime

Late bloomer this year. Not really, yesterday was only my third time out. My last four hunts were in the same hard hit area of an old park. I hit it in Jan. before the freeze and snow came. All I got was a toasty V nickel, a few wheats and a couple clad coins. Then just last Monday I made it...
