    Serious Detecting Adam

I ordered a very expensive pulse induction detector on Monday morning July 6th. It arrived today, July 9th via UPS, Michigan to Colorado. Based on my prior years experience and contrary to the original post in this topic, I ordered this detector from Serious Detecting. No issues whatsoever.

    Who bought a legend 2?

The smaller Legend 2 elliptical coil does really well on sub 0.1 gram gold. It does detect the lower carbon fiber shaft a bit but it is very sensitive in prospecting mode. I liked the Legend 1 6” coil for gold prospecting. It had rear mounted coil ears so it would not detect the CF lower...

    Who bought a legend 2?

It’s worth a grand. Legend 1 was worth that much too.

    Who bought a legend 2?

I posted this on Detector Prospector on February 5th 2026. "I have done extensive head to head target depth comparisons between Legend 1 and Legend 2 in very magnetite and volcanic rock ground conditions. Those conditions may not be your conditions so think of this as a nearly worse case...

    Serious Detecting Adam

I've been buying detectors and gear from Serious Detecting for over 10 years. I have never had any issues whatsoever. Did you pay for shipping? By my count from the information you provided it has been 8 days not 12. Not in anyway minimizing your issue with them. Just another perspective.

New Nokta Detectors for Beach Hunters?

Nokta have a USA based service center and have had this since 2021. They did not have that option until just before the Legend was released. Their USA warranty service really is excellent now on their latest model detectors roughly since the last Simplex model and Legend 1. I agree with Kac...

New Nokta Detectors for Beach Hunters?

Nokta officially temporarily lowered the Magnetar 9000 price to $4,999 which includes the same coil bundle as before. This price will be in effect until they can release their lower priced models. Concentric coils and open spoked coils for water use will be available later also.

Manticore alternatives wireless headphones or earbuds....what are you using...

For hot weather wireless, the stock 105s and Killer Bs are really uncomfortable.

Manticore alternatives wireless headphones or earbuds....what are you using...

I use the Manticore’s proprietary WM09 wireless module with any wired headphones/earbuds plugged in. No latency and the WM09 charges with the same charging cable as the Manticore. As far as I know, there are no wireless earbuds that will pair with the Manticore’s proprietary wireless system. I...

New Nokta Detectors for Beach Hunters?

I haven’t read any saltwater beach hunt reports for the Magnetar other than what Calabash Digger has posted. The Magnetar 9000 is proven to be fully waterproof. In its price range, overall lighter weight and feature set it has zero competition currently from Minelab as far as being fully...

New Nokta Detectors for Beach Hunters?

Nokta released their simultaneous multi frequency/ selectable single frequency Legend VLF in early 2022 which could do everything that the single frequency Kruzer, selectable single frequency Multi Kruzer and even the gold prospecting specific Gold Kruzer could do and a lot more. The only...

    Manticore Ground Struggles.

When I go detecting here whether its for coins, jewelry, relics or gold nuggets, I am detecting in moderate to high mineralization caused by high levels of magnetite and volcanic material in the soil in my area. I have been hunting in these conditions for years and detectors like the Equinox...

Any recommended settings for the F70 in Gold country, Northern California?

Even the latest simultaneous multi frequency detectors will detect small gold chains very low on the target ID scale right around the ferrous/non ferrous tone break. As stated above by Picketwire, smaller low conductor targets like gold and lead that weigh less than 0.25 grams may be detected...

    Legend 2 users

No software updates have been released for Legend 2 yet. Phone app software updater has not been released either. I sent a request list for a few software update items back in February. Just some minor stuff. I think Calabash Digger also sent a request for an iron filter adjustment update...

Just curious about what your expectations are when considering to buy a metal detector, from both experienced and who just started detecting.

First on my list is can the detector handle higher mineralization and higher conductive salt conditions. That means, can it get good depth while also giving accurate information down to the edge of detection in case I need to do selective digging. The most recent simultaneous multi frequency...

Ghost targets help on Nokta Double Score

I can’t remember the default settings for the Double Score. If your ground is moderate to higher mineralized/conductive you can try raising the recovery speed. You can also try the multi M3 setting. For the latest simultaneous multi frequency detectors, some one way pops and clicks even using...

Deus 1 V5.2 - 9” LF coil - Gold ring crusaders may find this video helpful

Hi squirrel1. I have continued to periodically try the methods you outlined both for the FMF coils and the HF2 coil. Anyone that has never tried this needs to know that what squirrel1 is showing in these videos about gold ring targets having different target IDs especially with the HF2 coil...

XP Interchangeability of D2 and Icon(X)

The way I understand it is when software version 4.2 is released, yes. Icon and Icon X are compatible with all Deus 2 coils only when V4.2 is installed. Same for the new Icon/Icon X 11" coil. It will only be compatible with Deus 2 remotes when V 4.2 is installed. That software hasn't been...

Is calabash testing the new xp icon ?

Scott is not currently testing the Icon. He made that clear in his YouTube video from 5/6 and 5/7. He is waiting to receive one just like anyone else that has pre-ordered one.

    Axiom at the beach?

Axiom has a Salt Mode so it should work well at a saltwater beach. It's not waterproof however and the coils are going to float due the the way they are made. Andrew Benson @ Relics and Rings YouTube channel did several Axiom videos at the Great Salt Lake in Utah which has much higher salt...
