    Simplex or Apex?

    I am wanting an updated backup detector. I got a Whites M6 that is my main detector and a Fisher F5 as a backup. Would the Simplex+ or the Garrett Apex be good in y'alls opinion?

    Fisher F-Pulse volume

    Does anyone know if you can raise the volume on the F-Pulse pinpointer. I can feel the vibes on it ok but with my headphones on I can barely hear it. I just don't like pulling my headphones on and off. I had a TRX and could hear it fine.

    No threshold him on F5

    I have no threshold hum on the F5 but seems to work ok otherwise. When I turn the threshold into positive range it chatters until I lower my gain some then it stabalizes but still no hum. I run in d4 mode. Is this normal?
