Does Deep Mode Do anything Racer 2

I have seen some video's on you tube using deep mode on buried coins , the thing is from what i see if a coin is buried at say 11 inches and the normal mode is is struggling to detect the coin then deep mode also struggles on the deep coin , I wonder if it actually really does go deeper in deep...

What features would you guys like to see on the Racer 3 when it eventually arrives. I think a multi frequency racer would be good. Water Proofing. A stand to stop it falling over. A bit thicker Grip. Any ideas !

    23 inches Depth .

I see the air test where the Racer 2 detects in Air at 23 inches , i would guess 18 inches in dry sand on large coin could be got. Awesome depth if you can get the coil over good ground..

Hand grips - i prefer Red Racer Grip.

I notice the gold racer and the racer 2 have the new smooth hand grip and less of an angle on the hand hold , I personally prefer the Red racer grip with the dents for the fingers, just my personal opinion , it just feels firm and solid on the hand. The Racer R2 looks very nice though. I have...

Well for those who want to find nickels , this is the machine to have. I got my gold racer delivered a few days back and am very happy with the detector so far. The gold racer should be re named "Nickel King" as the response to these kind of coins is excellent, the gold racer hits strong and...

    The Racer is too Deep.

I dont know if any one else has had the problem of too much depth with the racer but i have had to give up digging on some targets as they were too far down, what the targets were i don't know but they were well over 10 inches down. I cant dig a foot + deep holes on parks because of the...

Two Hour Hunt Finds. :-) :ukflag:

I went to a well worked park today with the racer , i have hit this site with many detectors & expected to find nothing at all much. I was surprised to be digging every few minutes Depths were all 6 - 7 inches. The amazing thing is the coins were all from a small area that i have pounded...

:ukflag::smile: The Racer is Brilliant

I recently bought a slightly used second hand racer for a very good price and have been very happy with the detector. The recovery speed is amazing and i found it;s ability to pick coins out of "worked out" sites to be nothing short of excellent. The meter gives plenty of useful information...

The Discriminating (to iron) Pulse Induction. - Fantasy?

I have often wondered why no one has designed better iron id methods on pulse induction detectors. I see big technological advances in things like plasma TVs, Cell Phones , Computers etc etc. Why after all these years are pulse induction detectors doing no better at iron id than they did 30+...

I would like to ask the people who own and run this forum if they would kindly consider a section :" Detector Repair Forum". A cult detector - Teknetics mark 1.

This is my main detector on sites loaded with foil and tabs , it really excells at finding nickels for some reason. The small 7.5 inch coil helps alot.

This is a good detector on trashy sites.

The mark 1 is Very hot on nickels and sifts coins from trashy really well. A superb coin shooter. If you get the chance to buy one of these then don't miss your chance. The Depth is nothing fantastic but it is really good on trashy sites.
