So who here watched last nights episode of beyond oak island.. looking for Cornwallis treasure ?? My real question is this......

How the hell do you become a metal detection expert ? The girl/woman last night couldn't have been more than 30/35 yrs of age. Do you just find an attractive girl, hand her a detector and slap the title of expert to your name ? Alot/most of the people on this site have more time in this...

Took advantage of probably the last good weather day in NE Ohio ( at least the next 14 days )

spent about 2 hrs at a large park sports field with the nox 600. Lots of quarters a few dimes some pennies too. I dug everything in the 10-17 range hoping for a gold ring. NADA.... Just one nickel ( rang a 12 ) all the rest was various sizes of aluminum junk, beaver tails, and old pull tab...

I'm starting to get irritated with this nox 600... it is so freaking susceptible to emi interference ....

I took advantage of the great weather today and hunted a playground area of about 4 acres. Nearby is a large cell phone tower, then high tension wires maybe 2000 feet away. Now I've hunted here for yrs with an explorer and exp II, a fisher f-44 a quish 440 and a bunch of others. Was able to...

Dammit, the beaches of lake Erie pulled me back to them today.... 110 mile round trip this time

but had a new heater with me, the nox 600 and tony Eisenhower custom headphones. I'm still going thru the learning curve with this 600 ( sometimes I wish I just had my o'le exp II with me ). First target was a silver toe ring, great I thought then crickets for a hell of a long time !! 56...

Hate to ask what could be a dumb question, but here it goes...

So I'm going to use waterproof ( tony eisenhower ) headphones with the nox 600. Do I have to put any sort of sealant on the connection to be certain it doesn't leak ? Thanks Mark ( ohio )
  19. M

Your opinion on what waterproof headfones do I choose for the nox 600

Really only thought of the GG amphibians but evidently theres these patriots and tony Eisenhower's worth a strong look. Not familiar with the last two at all. Anyone ever use all three to compare build quality, sound etc... What do you think. Mark ( ohio )
  20. M
