    EXCALIBUR wiring for NEL coil

That should be easy enough. images were taken from this forum and prolly another. Before you start cutting things off, and desoldering wires, take pix of what you have. When you do cut off the connector, leave about an inch of wire on the connector so that you can verify which wire goes...

    EXCALIBUR wiring for NEL coil

What do we have to work with? Is the NEL coil blunt cut, meaning that no connector is attached, or does it have the connector? Also, an image would be helpful to see if the wires are exposed, are they shielded, or not. Let us know. BTW, if the connector is attached, there is an image of the...

    Old Minelab coil...

Hey Rick(ND), when looking at the connectors with a glance, they do look like 5 pins.

    Old Minelab coil...

My machine is a GT, but I am sure I had some of these coils or the XS meter when I had my Elite. All the connectors are 6 pin.

    Old Minelab coil...

It's a 6 pin connector. I know it's Switchcraft, but I can't find it in Mouser. I did find another possible source. Cliff is the manufacturer and its the ZC series. I just didn't dive far enough to see if the plug's notch would line up with the Switchcraft version.

    Old Minelab coil...

Now that I thought about it, I think that Horseshoe crab coil should only have 4 wires.

    Old Minelab coil...

I haven't practiced drawing on the puter for this. I hope you can see the pin numbers on the connector. Also, wire colors may be different, depending on the make of the coil. We can get this squared away. Coinsearch coil 1)-RED 2)-BLK 3)-GRN 4)-ORG 5)-not used 6)-BLU stock Tornado 10"...

    Hello there!

I'm looking for an 8 inch tornado coil, or an 8 inch SunRay, or a 10 inch Tornado myself. I've got some Sovereign stuff to trade, a concentric coil and a 180 meter, among other machines as well. I have a Fisher 1280x, without the upper poles, an older Tesoro silver sabre with a 7 inch solid...

Minelab Sovereign meter and coil for trade

Hello All. I want to trade a Minelab Sovereign meter, that has been converted to the 180 scale, and a Detech 8 inch concentric coil, for an 8 inch Tornado or SunRay coil. The meter's sticker is not glued on and did lose some of it's print. It also looks like it wasn't used heavily. It will...

    Which Aftermarket Headphones for Excalibur

I'm using the Thresher on my Excal. I've used 2 different versions of the stock ones, and the Threshers are wayyyy better than stock. To me, They are very similar to Grey Ghost in shape, and fit. I think price is also a deciding factor. I haven't submerged mine or used my Excal in a diving...

    A couple of detectors

I have 2 machines I would like to sell. First is a Tesoro Silver Sabre. Looks beat up, but works as it should. No issues. Very fun machine to use. Comes with the brown 8-inch concentric coil. Metal enclosure and aluminum arm cuff. Missing the original battery cover, but made one that...

Anyone know how to open the 1280x?

Update #2. The machine works perfectly. I noticed that the reason for having such short air tests, is because I left it laying on a table with metal. After it was on a metal free zone, the air tests were way better. I don't think I will keep this machine since I only wanted the pole...

Anyone know how to open the 1280x?

New update. The machine does work! It turns on and functions. There is an issue with the discriminate control. It does not detect a nickel at level 3. It does not detect my silver wedding band at level 5. Sensitivity at about 8 starts to false. Below 8, detects targets at around 4...

Anyone know how to open the 1280x?

I just bought a non-working unit off of fleaBay. I got it only for the poles to use for another project I have in my head. Anyway, I want to open it to see if it's an easy fix. I don't see anything obvious, but I am guessing it's under the front decal of the face plate. Any help would be...

    SunRay Stealth X-12 coil

Up for sale is coil I have no use for. I do not own an Explorer unit. I will trade for an 8-inch Sovereign coil or a 10-inch Tornado coil for the Sovereign. The coil does have a coil cover and the bottom of the coil looks very well preserved. The serial number is melted into the plastic...
