Too bad Tesoro & Rusty are no longer. I cant imagine it didnt false in the wet sand but that was probably fresh water, not salt water. That's great to hear Donna, and I'm a bit jealous too. When I got that troy s-9 coil I sent it and the detector back to tesoro and Rusty Henry dialed it in for perfect operation. It worked soo good that it didn't act up on a salt water beach until I hit the water itself.... I'm still kicking myself in the arse after all these yrs, and boy its sore when I sit down !!!

Hi @RLOH .Vito, I had
I had a Coin Scanner that I sent back to the factory for the depth mod. As I remember, the new owner bought the company after the big fire. He was sort of a "dick", but after three or four months I got the detector back. It was one "sweet" machine!
No no, it was a saltbeach... OBX actually. Hard to believe, I agree but it was true ! Whatever he did and however he tuned it it worked as I stated until I got into the edge if water. Wet sand didn't affect it. And now today I just use a nox600. As a matter of fact I'll be back down there in 2 weeks there about. Hope some luck from the good ol"e days looks down on me. More to come when I get back. Mark ( ohio )Too bad Tesoro & Rusty are no longer. I cant imagine it didnt false in the wet sand but that was probably fresh water, not salt water.
I moved to the beach when I had my Shadow, I wasnt finding anything. Til I found out I needed a multi-frequency to run in the
wet salt water !!!!! I was such a newbie back then !!!!![]()

Minelabs ruled the beach back then. Excalibur & Sovereigns.
Had little competition as everyone owned a White's back in the day. !!! Now everyone has a multi-frequency and there's nothing to find.

Hi Coinspader. Down to 4, too.All of them : ) If I could I would have a room full of detectors, I can't think of any detector I have owned that I didn't have fun with, the most I have owned at one time was ten, and my wife stared telling me I needed to see a therapist , anyway I am down to four now and holding steady but I guess if you pinned me down I would have to say I miss the CTX 3030 the most.
