    Is there a dealer that carries amplifiers to boost target audio signals for VLF detectors? I know Minelab SD gold detectors have them and they work quite well.I have one but it is a 4 pin connection and I need a 5 pin one.

    falsing/dirt build-up in coil cover

    Guvner,I read a post on this forum on how to prevent dirt build-up in the coil cover. Clean the coil and cover and, put a bead of RTV between the coil and the cover near the top edge of the coil. this does a great job of keeping out dirt and sand from building up under the coil between the cover.

    hunting near metal fence posts
