    can excalibur all metal pinpoint and disc mode run at the same time?

    turned on my excalibur 800 at the beach today in disc mode and for some reason when I first turned it on it had two different threshold tones, one was the normal constant discrimination mode tone and the other sounded like the allmetal pinpoint mode. It sort of alternated between the two...

    minor battery issue

    When I swung or jostled my 6 year old XS, it made periodic low tones (foil range) and I finally traced the problem to dirty battery contacts. So I cleaned them up and one week later it was back to making the same old noises. Cleaned up the contacts yesterday so they were as shiny as a silver...

    the purpose of the black cap on nicad battery pack

    Battery Plus replaced my burnt out nicad pack with an NiMH (thanks for the idea, guys!). Looks like it will work good but I have yet to try it. I still have to replace the black cap on the battery back that was super-glued in. It looks like the function of that cap is to lock-in the battery...

    editing out high tone falses

    Since the topics seems to have revolved around high tone falses lately .... Whenever I try to edit out upper right corner falses, such as where hot rocks are all over, I can't seem to get a small enough area covered with the edit icon. It only works if I can find a rock with the 31-31 signal...
