    Excal II Headphone Change

Detector Center still has the endcaps listed on their website. That's where I got mine. Very easy change with no soldering. I'm running tony's headphones as well and love them. https://www.detectorrepair.com/index.php/store?start=20 Sorry, didn't see OldBeechnut's link above.

    xp deus 2 waterproof headphones

I'm running Grey Ghost, but have Tony Eisenhower on my Excal and Aqua Tek on my Legend. The Tony Eisenhowers are my favorite. You can get all of them for the Deus II.

Another Legend Beach Hunt w/small Gold?

On the beach I am digging everything nonferrous and sometimes ferrous targets depending on the ID. Pitch gives me two tones, ferrous and nonferrous. I keep the ferrous tone much lower than the nonferrous but where I still can hear it. I feel like the more I use pitch the better I get at audibly...

Another Legend Beach Hunt w/small Gold?

I tried oldkoot's 6 tone break, and liked it. But I kept going back to Pitch and prefer it for beach hunting. I am using the default pitch frequency, but may tweak it a little to better suit my hearing.

Another Legend Beach Hunt w/small Gold?

Found quite a bit of can slaw. A few bottle caps and lots of pull tabs. Here are the settings that I am running. Machine running V1.11 w/LG30 coil, Nokta BT headphones Search Mode: Beach Sensitivity: 29 - 30 Frequency: Mw Discrimination Pattern: A Recovery Speed: 1 Iron Filter: 5 Stability in...

Another Legend Beach Hunt w/small Gold?

Was not able to recover the owners info from the watch because it was locked. Added a new band and did a factory reset on it. It was about 12" deep when I found it in the edge of the surf. The date on the watch when I charged it was back in August. So I guess it was in the water/sand for about 5...

putting the simplex control box cover on legend

The Sly Lynx cover that I bought on Amazon was sold as for the Legend. See speaker grille on back of cover. It fit snug, but was not hard to get on. Has held up well so far.

Another Legend Beach Hunt w/small Gold?

I forgot that I also found an Apple watch. Does not power on, but I don't have a charger. Hopefully I can get it charged and find out who it belongs to.

Another Legend Beach Hunt w/small Gold?

Took the Legend out this morning for about a 4 hour spin. Lots of can slaw for some reason. Changed spots around low tide and found some small cuts that had developed overnight. Found a few coins, with a 1 Euro and a sharks tooth. A couple of earrings (not marked that I can see) and a small...

    Loving this Legend

Took the new Legend out for another beach hunt. Running same settings as listed in this thread https://www.findmall.com/threads/1st-beach-hunt-with-new-legend.379064/. I am so pleased how how quiet this machine runs in my conditions! I can max out sensitivity and I have no chatter. Running on...

1st beach hunt with new Legend

Coil ears seem more substantial on my Legend than my Nox 600. My Nox does seem a little more nose heavy than the Legend, but I'm still swinging the original shaft on the Nox versus the stock carbon fiber shaft on the Legend. Hope this helps. I have zero reservations about my Legend purchase...

1st beach hunt with new Legend

Picked up a new Legend just before Christmas. Just took it out for the first hunt. I am a beach hunter 95% of the time. My main machine has been the Deus II lately. Also use Nox 600 and Excal. First outing consisted of about 6 hours total. My setup on the machine was as follows: ( All settings...

XP Deus 2 coils 11 inch or 13 inch preferred

Pretty much. I am primarily a beach hunter and like the extra coverage of the 13". I feel like the 9" and "13 would better cover different detecting scenarios. Was also thinking the 9" might swing better in the water.

XP Deus 2 coils 11 inch or 13 inch preferred

I have the 11" and the 13". Swing the 13" on the beach. I wish I had the 9" and the 13".
