    Advice on VX3 Learning Curve

    I must say, for starters the 950 coil does a darn good job!!! I would get a SEF 12x10 before i get the 2DD whites, i have both and like the SEF much better. Doug in VA

    New 12x10 arrived today...slapped it on and did a air test, WOW...i know this doesn't mean much but the VX3 seeing a dime at 11 inches in my relic mode is good...even for a air test! cant wait till the temp gets above 25 and the snow is off to hit the field!!

    So really , you want to know the performance comparison of the VX3 with single tone and no meter? Well you could set it to all metal mixed mode and put a bag over it and swing away .....now if you have a 5900 DI PRO you could see for your self how it compares. If your looking for a detector...

    reddog, i have the 950,D2,6x10 DD and a super 12...I haven't noticed any real depth increase over the stock 950 ! and it seems to be very consistent in my test garden as well...I do have a white SEF 10x12 on the way....we will see!

    Hummm...Maybe i need to reset and start over, kinda feeling the same way.....but just cant seem to get my Vx3 to get deep!

    Hello all, Im new here but....Flinstone, I have found that if you run in single frequency ( witch ever ) you will gain dept for sure....whites says that in 3 Fq mode RX gain is passed through in 1/3's and in single fq all the RX gain is going to one, in return you will get better depth. i seen...
