Why would I want to buy an old Explorer these days?

Gotta remember, just because something new is out, doesn't make it better, kinda like cars, manufactures don't want you to get to attached, they always want you to buy buy buy. Hard to beat FBS tech. Had several Explorers, Safari, Ive also owned my share of Fisher, Garrett, White's machine, but...

Must have for any Explorer XS owner

Not mine, but I do have one, and it's better than the Explorer/Etrac book when it comes to the older Explorer

Which small coil do you prefer for the Minelab Safari?

Sunray X5 or X8, supposedly hands down the best for trash separation and stability, due to numerous reviews on many different small coils, I'll be buying the X8 for my E-Trac. Not saying others aren't great, but, nothing but praise over these coils, they run about $209 new. Check with Richard at...

Pin Pointers - shopping for a new one.

I was tempted to buy one, but with all their initial problems I scared away from them, but have heard they were updated to eliminate the previous problems, so, I may reconsider one in the future

Understand, yeah I mis-read, thought maybe you were digging nails then discovered high tones.

Equinox 800 first and second hunts.......starting to figure it out.

This is a common problem with all Nox800's I've heard, read more than a few complaints online as well. Not trying to tromp on your excitement, but I can dig rusty nails wit a used $50 Bounty Hunter, the good thing seems to be you're seeing other signals or at least the higher pitches telling you...

Pin Pointers - shopping for a new one.

Expect to have similar problems if you use rechargeable 9v in your pro-find35, most pinpointers have issue when voltages start to get below a minimum threshold, regular alkaline s hold the voltage till dead. I'm a Minelab fan, but too many issue related reviews for my taste, the F-Pulse and...

Pin Pointers - shopping for a new one.

Expensive or not, the AT is definitely one of those "last pinpointer ever needed" items you'll buy.

Pin Pointers - shopping for a new one.

By the way, I had the same black pro pointer, mine started to false beep under slight pressure, common failure of the old ones.

Pin Pointers - shopping for a new one.

You'll have as many opinions on pinpointers liken to people who think the nox800 is the next coming of detector gods lol. Most every new pinpointer made, and there a lot of them, cost over or well over a hundred dollars, in my opinion, overpriced for a tool that's only real or primary function...

Post Your Oldest Coin...........And Win Prizes!

Very nice, too bad about the hole, that would have broke my heart, still, one of the sweeter condition ones, surprised as these are fairly rare this particular coin.

Post Your Oldest Coin...........And Win Prizes!

72 AD Roman Coin, actually dug it up in my yard as a 12(1973) year old, someone must have lost it, started me off coin collecting and eventually MD'ing. Authentic, but many thought to be reproduction due to it semi-clean and centered strike. Challenge any one to find one(same coin) pictured...

The Deus isn’t a deep detector?

Great, last question if I'm not bugging you, does the unit automatically scan those frequencies the coil is able to operate, or is the operator adjusting the unit to specific frequencies either manually or through preset menu hunting choices, or.... Thanks for the info
