Using Beach Mode Md & Mw

I have not used the Legend on a salt beach so this is just a guess. The Multi Wet setting is going to have alot more filtering built in to the program to counteract the salt. Multi Dry will not have as much filtering. Sometimes, even dry beach areas have alot of black sand etc...that need a...

    Which version?

If by "recent updates" your talking about the newest Beta version 1.14 I think you should wait until Nokta gets the kinks worked out.

    Legend Settings

My recommendation for you son is to use the default settings until he gets a feel for the machine. I dont have a problem identifying iron with the Legend using the default settings so he probably wont either. Bottle caps are a little trickier but I rarely get fooled. I've heard that if you...

Garrett AT max VS Nokta Legend

To me, the AT detectors and the Legend both present more stable TID numbers and have more consistent tones than the 600. As for target separation in trash, the 600 and the Legend are a little better than the ATs with the stock coil.

    Any idea's what this is.

I agree. It looks like a spoon type lure. The hole near the tail end is where the treble hook attaches to.

    Cellular trail cameras

A Tactacam Reveal cell cam would work well for what your doing. A Moultrie Edge is another good choice. You simply pay a monthly fee and the camera will send the pictures right to your phone app. Plans are cheap too. I think I pay 8 dollars a month.

Curb stripping last couple of weekends

I've never hunted curb strips because I'm always afraid I'm trespassing or will be accused of it. With finds like that, I'm going to have to be more brave. Great job!
