    Xterra wired phones

You'll probably need to make the wiring change noted in the link to your wired headphones to get them to work. I remember a lot of folks ran into this same problem when the Equinoxes came on the scene in early 2018 and were able to solve it with the wiring change. Good luck WW.

    Xterra wired phones

Read Steve's post on the Detector Prospector forum which explains the wiring needed for wired headphones. This also applies to the XTP. https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/6966-official-minelab-headphone-adapter-dongle-for-equinox/#comment-71618

Using garrett ms3 headphones on xterra pro

I started out with the 1Mii BT transmitter and Sound Blaster JAM V2 BT headphones (all from the big A online store) and that worked with the XTP. The thing I wasn't happy with was the BT transmitter picked up a small amount of interference coming from the control pod. It became annoying enough...

Using garrett ms3 headphones on xterra pro

If you're buying the Garrett MS3 & transmitter setup new, you could buy the Minelab ML85 BT headphones for about $1 more. The ML85s are great and there are no cables, etc. to get snagged in the woods.

Looking for a backup unit for SALT water hunting.

Hard to beat the X-Terra Pro when some dealers are selling it for $219. My wife has used hers in FL on the dry and the wet and it performed very well. She didn't take it in the saltwater due to no waterproof headphones at the time. The only down side is you need to buy the Minelab ML85 BT...

    Only On Amazon.... X-Terra VOYAGER

While the new, lower cost Nokta Double Score looks like a decent machine per Iffy's early prototype tests (see Iffy Signal's YouTube channel) and at $425 USD, most will want to add a pair of BT headphones. So, add at least another $100 and you're at $525 at least. A lot of dealers are peddling...

Is your cell phone turned on? If so, turn it off or put it in airplane mode.

NEED some feed back on the X-Terra pro

Charge the detector when you get it assembled. Then do as the brief intro manual (I think one comes in the box) suggests for starting out and learning to use this detector. Start in Park 1, do a noise cancel and go. Park 1 default settings are set up to get you started without a lot of...

Great hunt with the 800 today....

I'd pitch a tent on that site and take my sleeping bag.

Any dealers have the V10X coils for the Xterra Pros yet?????

Coil cable should be routed up and over the shaft at the coil end to prevent stressing the coil cable to coil connection when the coil is moved up against the shaft. Less stress if cable is run over rather then under the shaft. Thanks for the pictures. Anxious to hear how you like the V8X.

    X-TERRA PRO WIRELESS HEADPHONES

The ML85 headphones are now showing up at some dealers. Typical price is $109 - less expensive than our Nox 800 ML80 headphones at $149. A dealer in Maryland just received the ML85s. Expect to pay over $100 for ANY Bluetooth APTX LL headphones for any purpose.

    Nox 900 headphone options

Well, I was looking for waterproof headphones for my wife to use with her X-Terra Pro and after some research settled on a pair of Detecting Adventures Thresher waterproof phones. They arrived yesterday and I'm very impressed after a short bit of air testing. They are very comfortable, have a...

Detecting Adventure submersible headphones for minelab detectors

Has anyone tried the Detector Adventure waterproof headphones? If so, any comments on build and sound quality? I haven't found any reviews anywhere.

    X-TERRA PRO...or Vanquish 440???

The XTP will use any wired waterproof headphones that the Equinox or Manticore use. Same connector. If you want to go wireless with non-waterproof headphones you will need to purchase one of those Bluetooth transmitters to be able to use the XTP with standard APTX LL Bluetooth headphones. Look...

Are the Equinox coils that work with Xterra Pro better then stock coil - do they help stabilize the VDI?

Yes. No noticeable change in stability for me. Most of the usual targets that the XTP hits hard, like US coins will typically have a 2-3 digit “bounce” if they're in decent condition and in a relatively “clean” location like a wood chip tot lot and not too deep. A corroded zinc penny, for...

Are the Equinox coils that work with Xterra Pro better then stock coil - do they help stabilize the VDI?

Doubtful that the coils contribute any instability issues. The 600/800 have a 50 TDI scale while the XTP and the 700/900 have 119 TDI scaling. That expanded scaling is more than likely creating the appearance of instability vs the 600/800.

    I did everything!

From detecting for many years on AMI beaches with my 800, the sand there is mineral free. All metal (horseshoe ON) in the water and on the wet or dry Sand. Set your GB manually to 0 and go detecting. 0 for dry, wet and in the water. I use 2 tones, Beach 2 in the water and dig everything that...

    I did everything!

Yes. You can download the manual. Really worth doing that if you want to get the most out of your detector.
