Gone Back To A NEW Nox 800.

I did some depth tests on the manticore soon after buying it , i was surprised to find it did no better than the Nox 800 on my test site. . I paid a lot for the core , my conclusion was the money was wasted. Still it's a good detector , not saying it's bad. just not worth it's RRP. The M8 coil...

How many hours would you guess this coil has been used.

I have had by many. more than one detector come smashed in the post from e bay sellers too. My advice is to stay clear of e-bay if possible. It's used to unload dodgy electronics by many. Profit making on second hand detectors and coils is also rife. Selling items is very dicey too. Some buy...

How many hours would you guess this coil has been used.

I have sent the coil back to the seller now. I find there to be many many con artists selling on e-bay. Lots of people selling goods that have known defects. It's been nicknamed bay of thieves by many. Half of the sellers are good the other half are money desperate people. People who are...

How many hours would you guess this coil has been used.

I bought this coil second hand off flea bay. Seller claims the coil has had little use. My estimate of hours use is about 200 to 300 hours hours. What do you think, would you class this coil as having little use or not.

First ever gold nugget found with the Vortex

I have to wonder why most detectorists are "Old Men". I know many are younger detectorists but it seems like 80% of detector users are old. Maybe its an old mans hobby!

    Vortex starting to ship

Looks like the first Batches of Vortex Models have some problems. I think it will be a good detector once the glitches are sorted out.

    Gold Hound Hot On Gold!!!!!!

I used to have a vista X . I never could get any luck with it despite trying hard. I got depressed with it and stupidly sold it on. I was not keen on using the Second Discrimination channel , i just used to dig anything that beeped in disc 1. Got a gold gain now , probably will keep it , got it...

My Explorer SE is getting heavy

Nox 800 makes a great replacement upgrade. I have a SE too. and the explorer 2. I just can't let them go. The enviable record of finds made with the explorer is proof it's superb.

MINELAB Manticore Unmasking And Recovery Performance

Simple and super effective and cheap compared to modern high price digitals. It looks to be a great detector the Golden Mask 4xtreme. I might buy one of these next year.

MINELAB Manticore Unmasking And Recovery Performance

I agree , the "advancements" have took ages and even then the so called advancements seem small. I am predicting a come back for super deep seeking single frequency detectors. I know it sounds crazy but it can't be ruled out . Analogue could make a come back.

    Frustrated

When frustrated just persevere. Some days i go home with just a bag of rubbish and no coins. I am back though hunting finds or no finds! The best hunters care not what comes out of the dirt.
