    Washington state beaches yes or no?

    I have been able to find what state parks are ok to metal detect. But are beaches ok in washington state? It says when you register "metal detecting is allowed between the oven's water edge and the mean high tide line along the washington coast" Does that mean beaches are ok? I enjoy metal...

    Found this rock or mineral in my backyard

    I found this on my first day of metal detecting. I put it to the side and thought nothing of it, but am very curious to find out if anyone knows anything about it. It has shiny black material on it.
