Washington state beaches yes or no?

I have been able to find what state parks are ok to metal detect.

But are beaches ok in washington state?

It says when you register "metal detecting is allowed between the oven's water edge and the mean high tide line along the washington coast"

Does that mean beaches are ok?

I enjoy metal detecting parks but would love to do beaches too!

Thanks

I think I figured that out although its a bit of an oven east of the Cascades!!!! There was info going around that WA was requiring one to register their metal detectors by make, model, and serial number. Arguably it could be a mode to charge for stickers and then have to declare or show the State what you have removed from its sovereign domain. I know some folks who do and some who don’t, no one I’ve heard of has been cited or arrested or had their machines confiscated.
Back to your question....... find out what the average high tide mark is for the area. When tide is low then the area between average low and high is generally open and so that includes a portion of the beaches. Im by no means 100% positive on that but thats what I’ve been told.
You might repost this on the Beaches..... Forum
