    the second picture was of the back. It is so caked over its hard to tell. Any trying to get the dirt off and it flakes, i was trying to clean behind one of the smaller stones with a toothpick but not wanting to rub clean.

    I was trying to remove a piece of clumped dirt by the loop with the slightest bump of only a few toothbrush bristles and the patina came right off with the slightest touch, i used a wet q tip to rub the stone clean.     Any advice, the metal was flaking trying to wipe the stone/glass clean, it is very dry in my house due to the woodstove. I do have renaissance wax but not sure how to remove the dirt layer first without damage
