    I can make out “EXTRA” on the back. Can you make out the other word/words? From what I found, the “SCOVILL”backmarks seem to be the earliest versions.

    Not bad…. Everything looks like it has some age to it. Is that a coin at the bottom of the photo. If you look closely, there may be a patent date on the knob of that wick adjuster.

    I saw clearing a power line right of way some years ago… it does a great job. Amazing piece of equipment!
