    :yikes: er, HIGH WATER! i had to drive through some last Tuesday...it was nice to get out on my weekly jaunt, and i wasn't about to turn around. landed a 1909 Barber Dime & a 1917 Merc, plus a couple crusty Indian Head Cents for my trouble. did i mention i like my new 10x12 SEF coil?

    ...but the old adage is true: you get out of it what you put into it. this is the only coin i dug yesterday... 4-22 at 4 inches with my SE/SunRay X-8. wafer thin, but a solid hit in all directions. i also dug 2 nails & 2 shotgun shells, nothing else out in the middle of freakin' nowhere...

    SE stock coil has a short. i had a funny feeling about all that falsing, and now it's unbearable! i'm using my 5" Excelerator as a backup until i find out about warranty service. i don't normally use the 5" for lack of coverage, but slightly larger would be ideal. i think it's time to buy one or...
