    Badger me

    I had some free time, so I went to the park. This beauty awaited me. Now another finds off my bucket list.

    Warmer

    Burt this time I wore gloves. Rescued a clad quarter, clad dime, new nickel, three zinc and one 1970-s cent and also an 1882 Indian Cent. Only half of the area have I detected so far. and in only one direction.

    Today

    Nasty wind chill. First hole produced an 1886 Indian Cent. Next three holes gave me a clad quarter, clad dime and a zinc cent. Gave up for warmer weather.

    cold out

    At 37 deg out and patchy snow, I did my first hunt of the year. I willingly dug junk. some of the junk was masking a goodie. After I removed some broken glass and foil out popped a 1-1/2 cent Illinois Tax Token. Maybe the start of a good year to come.

    Lately

    Three silvers 1930 Buffalo nickel and 1919 cent. Some jewelry and a 1895 Insurance fob. We need these four days of rain. All my finds were from wooded areas.

    junk lump

    Thought I had a junk lump of lead before I cleaned the dirt off. Must have been a souvenir belt buckle at one time. The shield at the top reads ( State Capitol ). On the shield bottom it reads ( Springfield, ILL ).

    again

    Another day another Indian. HO Hum? NOT I went to a third location to test my new Manticore out and struck again. It's fun finding old coins again and only investing about an hour hunting for them. Heavy rain tomorrow and possible (SNOW) Sunday.

    Fixed

    Detector broken. I hip mount my White's Vision for less weight on my arm. The extension cable broke so I was down for a few weeks seeking another. Finally all fixed and I went out to a sand lot kids playground I have kept clean of hazards for 31 years. First target I retrieved was this .223...

    Open Park?

    Please check your local park district web site for availability of open parks. The parks and trails I am hunting are open. Playground equipment and ball diamonds are not open. Social distancing is still in effect. Keep safe.

    out efore the snow came

    Thought I would visit the local park and trails for some early goodies. This makes 13 unbroken mason jar glass plates I have found. Good luck in the coming warm up.

    new digger found

    Found digger, needs repair, Kimber lost her Cat bling, Mason jar lid, have yet to find full jar with goodies inside. I hope everyone is enjoying our heat wave and getting out for this spring break.

    Club Hunt with Wife Pam

    Wife Pam did great. She dug the Silver Dollar out without a single scratch. :clapping: Path Hunt was good, rain stopped about half hour before hunt start. We're still finding poker hunt cards from last year. I found a silver dime from last year. Between Pam, Star and Bill most of the not found...

    park clad

    Just wanted to get out of the house so I went to my village square where the carnival sets up. :shrug: I was surprised to find so many coins from depth and only a few from the surface and nine nickels too for a total of $5.32.. No ring tabs and only three square tabs recovered and three pieces...
