This year, the fish certainly did not jump into the boat, but a couple of decent ones were clawed from the ocean / lake floor. Large picture, cross is 14k 17 grams minus tooth. Detail shot, from left, 22k 9.7 gr. with a rock, front three all 18k--14 gr. 12 gr. (1940's!) and 17.6 gr. (up in the "machine part" category!) Back row: 14K x 13 gr., 11 gr. and two 18K x 12 gr.
Now how 'bout some decent year-end shots?

Great job Clive, seeing your finds reminds me why I keep rereading your books. I have not had the sucess finds you have but I am getting better with my machine.

Thanks

again thanks for all the time you take to share..:detecting:

Nice finds Clive, I wish the weather here in New Hampshire would stay warmer a little longer, But hoping for a Feb Trip somewhere warm. Don Tyler

Good going Clive, I like it that you can not only share your knowledge with us via your books but that you can back it up with pictures of your finds. I attribute my 7 gold and 9 silver rings since buying the Excalibur :minelab:in July directly to your books and the video's the guys have posted. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Nice loot pards! Looks like you put in the hours... Hey by the way I am curious, you hunt almost everyday right? So which unit do you find the most gold with? Also do you think you find more recent or older deeper targets? I know there is some latitude in your answer based on conditions, but I am curious on the average for your year.

When I hunt as a pro I do about ten-plus hours a day. It's basically a 24 hour a day discipline with repairs, maintenence, re-packs, body and soul... I actually start out competing with locals for the recents then bring out the heavy artillary and work selected areas for the deep stuff. The big three are the Aquasearch, the Dual Field and the Excal. They all do different things well.

What does the Aqua Search do better or different then the others?

Thanks,
Steve

Clive your loot pile always inspires me even though, "This year, the fish certainly did not jump into the boat"! Would you say most of that came running the DF, or what? I LIKE IT ALL!

In your book "Pulse Power" which was a great book by the way you spoke highly of the Dual Field. This is a great MD by Whites but I am curious as to why you never mentioned the Infinium LS in your book?

The DF certainly accounted for its share. Great faint range on that machine with the right tuning.

The Aqua tunes well in rough / fast water and has great small object sensitivity. Also, gold will bang your ears off.
