1 hour hunt Silver and blownout ankle

TURNMASTER

Active member
So, I got out yesterday. I went up north to hunt a creek for gold. No gold and the dog would not quit pestering me to play ball with him. Dog won over nugget hunting.

Later I was doing another kind of TH. Walking an old farm for its scrap cars. Couple of real neat pieces left behind. Will have to get permision to pull some scrap out.

Leaving the farm, I was racing the dog back to the truck and the ground gave way under my foot in mid stride. I heard a loud POP as my ankle turned inward and I fell to the ground. Well I got to the Doc this morning and after Xrays the doc said I ruptured a bunch of tendons.

The side story here is that I got permision to hunt a High School that dates to 1917. I hunted it for an hour before dark and got 2 dimes and a penny. One of the dimes was a 53 Rosie in super condition.

My plan was to hunt there for several hours before I came home today. Pain dictated otherwise and I came home last night So I could get in early at the minor emergency.

Camera bat is dead no pics right now.

those dont heal quick!!!!!!! good luck.

you or the dog? Just kidding. Sorry about the ankle, and congrats on the dime!

That happened to me at our club hunt many years ago and I had a swollen back, blue & yellow foot and ankle for quite some time, but still was able to hobbled around on it and go to work at the Lutheran Church MO Synod! Was going to go :twodetecting: with a friend the next day, who had come up from FL but couldn't, so that was that! Congrats on the silver dime! May God Bless and prayers for healing! Amen! Ma Betty!

Yes the dog, the good dime was only 2" dp.The place where I lost to the dog I am gonna try to get permision to salvage as there are 200 to 1000$ in VW parts laying around. Depending on ambition of course.
