10.5" Coil Question...

Someone mentioned to me that the newer 10.5" coils are thiner, and lighter, than the first 10.5" coils for the X-Terra. Can anyone confirm this?

That statement is true for many other Minelab detectors. (e.g. Musketeer, Explorer, Soveign etc). But as far as I know, the 10" DD coils for the X-Terra have all been the thin profile. HH Randy
 
Ok, thanks. It was mentioned to me, but I didn't think they had changed. Still too heavy for my poor old back though. Will have to stick with the stock size, and the 6 inchers.

I use a bunjie cord ( the swingie thing) that I got from Doc's prospecting forum. This will save your back for those long days detecting with the 10" coils.
 
I don't have the link, but I think they run a half page add in the metal detecting magazines.
