100th silver coin for the year still eluding me, but

its not from trying. I hit the fields this morning with the Omega about 7:30 and the air temp. was a balmy 21. Once the sun got up over the trees, it wasn't to bad, but a brisk north wind also kicked up but ended up hunting 3 1/2 hours. Dug 2 wheats, 4 Mem. cents, 3 nickels, 3 clad dimes, a quarter, key and a small tot wheels car. Oh, and some trash. Fortunately, our ground seldom freezes and if it does, only for and inch or so. was a balmy 21

Mr. Jim.if that's balmy....what do you call cold ? LOL

-20!..here in new england, at times!..
would think the "warm hearts" of the southern folks
make for warmer temps down there!

I grew up in Minnesota, so I know about those minus temps. j.t., but I have been in the south for many, many years. I did hunt one day last year that was 17 when I started out. I guess, Elton, that 17 is my limit, as remember it was not pleasant. Today when I ended the hunt at 11a, it was 37 so the temps. were gradually rising. I will say one thing about hunting in cold weather, though, it does entice one to dig more iffy targets, just to keep warm. LOL HH jim tn

I think it would be more exciting if you stayed at 99..:buds:

Yeah, I'd stay at 99 also. Two sacred numbers and when added and added again, they come back to 9.

Wow thats pretty deep earthman...I had to do that in my head a few times...:clapping:

I guess I could have said it easier.

But if you like to ponder how about this as a theory:

Metal detecting finds can be a reflection of the subconscious mind. Just put it to the test, look at your mind state (but very deeply) and compare that to what you find. Look at the years (e.g. - war time - hmmm) of finds, the finds, mint location, etc. to develop a picture. It's a fun sort of game to play. I've already found correlations, but it's physics, isn't it? (Non local theory, unified theory, observer affecting observed, etc.)
