10x12 SEF for E-Trac?

Tumbling coins right now and should have a couple hundred dollars when all said and done to re-invest in some equipment. Been considering the 10X12 SEF as the guys on the Explorer forum love it so much.

I have not seen too much about it here. Does anyone have an opinion on how much it may enhance the performance of the E-Trac like it seems to do on the Explorers?

Any feedback will be appreciated:please:

Good question Bob, I'm interested myself.

I'm more interested to see if it's any deeper, if it can reach past the standard coil's depth?

Cheers,
Greg

I asked Bryce in the SE forum about the same thing. His response was for the way he hunts, where he hunts, it works better for him than the Pro Coil. Another variable to consider is, that might be true for the SE but even if they are similar machines...is the same true for the ET? Jim

I tried one of the early ones and was not impressed but later learned it was faulty so I need to get a good one and run it through the mill.If it is even slightly better than the Pro coil it would be worth getting as even a slight improvement can make for more finds.I used my 8x6 SEF yesterday at my favorite hammered Courthouse and was once again very impressed and will post pics and story later today.By the way it is the same site featured in Andy's book with some of my finds from there,Ray.

My next coil will be the 10x12 SEF. I hear it gets a bit more depth than the Pro coil and separates better. The only drawback is that it's heavier than the Pro coil. The SEF Butterfly coils work great with the E-trac. I have the 15x12 and the 8x6. The Pro coil is excellent too. I just like toys.

Seems like the 12 X 10 SEF is the least popular among the SEF coils. At least among E-Trac users. I think maybe because it's the closest in size to the pro coil. Lots of 8 X 6 and 15 X 12 owners, but not many 12 X 10 owners. Since the pro coils is an excellent coil, maybe a step up or down in size might be the best choice. Something to consider anyway.

if you have the 11" Etrac coil you won't find much of a difference with the 10x12, only a very slight depth increase, I see your tumbling coins? from the beach, if so you would be better of with the 12x15, i have all 3 and have a 18x15 on the way
