10X5 Detech F5 mounting screw too short !

Home depot USED to, but it looks like they took the nylon nuts and bolts out of stock, as they are no longer there. As I said, I was just in Lowes and held the proper bolt in my hand. It was cheap too. Lowes pretty much stocks the same stuff most everywhere too. I have been in a LOT of them. Where exactly are you looking in Lowes? They have a line of speciality bolt/hardware cabinets in the hardware section, and the nylon stuff is almost at the end of it. The ones I saw are the right diameter and more than long enough to hold your coil. Have another look, and DONT ask an associate. Most of em cant find their arse with both hands. (although there is an occasional one that actually knows something) Look yourself.

That is what I am thinking also. That's why I told him to thread a nut on it and he would have the thread pitch. At least he would know the size he needed. I used to be in night stocking at Lowe's. If you look up the part number on the internet it should give you the isle number and bin location where it can be found.

Maybe I should have been more specific. I'm from Canada, Quebec to be more specific. There is no Lowe's here. The Home Depot stores we have don't stock half of what the Home Depot in the States have. They have about 10 nylon bolts total. All 1/4. I've looked myself. I've had at least 2 clerks from each store look. Most can't be bothered. Anyway, enough of that.

I found what I am looking for through an online seller.

as long as it will fit thru the hole its a keeper. He mentioned he thought it was close to 6MM. He is right, but so is 1/4"!!!! MY Fisher products can use a 1/4" bolt just fine, and that's exactly what I have in my spare parts bag. Guess I am done with this thread............................
