I notice in the accessories area of the Minelab web site they refer to the above coil being compatible with the XT models?. Can anyone tell me a bit more about this coil?.

XT or Xterra ?
As far as I know....There were Minelab XT1600, XT1700 gold detectors brought out many years ago
The Xterra coils have Minelab chip built into them and can only be on Xterras...and Xterras can use use coils with said chip in it.

Didn't know there was an XT model.....my mistake.

Wish there was a bit more choice coil-wise for the X-terras though?

The coils for the x-terras cover everything regarding all types of detecting. I would like to see Minelab make a 14" DD HF though. for the deeper gold.
 
Yes and a 14" DD 3kHz coil for deeper coins...:clapping:...oh well. TomB
