12 × 10 concentric on outlaw

Mr B

New member
I hunt a lot of beaches in dry sand, both fresh water and salt and my 12 × 10 wide scan just loves bottle caps too much. My 8 inch concentric skips over these without a problem. Has anyone tried the 12 ×10 concentric on any of the 5 pin tesoros? I like the 8 inch but would like a little better coverage. Any thoughts?

You only gain about 1 to 1 1/2" on average when using the 12x10 concentric. And the detector will feel coil heavy. Had Tesoro mounted the coil closer to the coils center it would handle better. Some owners have been known to mount the coil backwards so the ears end up out front.

Mine came with my outlaw, but I have yet to use it.
Same but opposite with my 4" coil. No area has deemed it necessary to.
Nothing clean and wide open enough for the 12x10 DD
And nothing trashy enough to need to step down from the 5.75 to the 4
