12 x 15 SEF vs Coiltek WOT 15

Has anyone ever compared both of these coils for stability and depth, and all around performance ? ... I'm sure folks have one or the other and probably both like these coils , but I'm looking for someone who has tried BOTH of these coils and made a comparison ... Inquiring minds want to know ......Thanks, Jim

I've searched this site and the web and most people prefer the 15x12 over the WOT. As deep or deeper than the WOT, more sensitive to tiny objects, better separation, more stable with less falsing, better pinpointing.

I use a 14 in excellorator (which is almost the same as the Wonderfull Orange thing) and the 10x12SEF. I dont want to knock the 14 excellorator and its Not the same exactly as you are asking for but I have used both for over a year and a half and the 14 for more than 3 years, First on the ExII and then on the E trac. If any one asked me the SEF would be my choice for deep hunting. And if I were purchaseing one it would be the SEF line any size as for the reasons stated in the post above. You would have to get my SEF away from my cold dead hands before I let it go. If you want a straight out comparison you'll have to do it but from my experiance with the 10x12 I can find very tiny objects at depths with no falsing chirps or clips and find it to be very sensitive. It does a good job of seperating even with lots of trash around and I can dial in the object even with other targets next to it. It works with good stability to the threshold and I get some really great depth with it.
If the Excellorator dies I am going with the SEF.
hope that helps but nothing beats trying them out on your own sites.

good luck
