LOOKING FOR A LIGHT DETECTOR FOR A BACKPACK WAS LOOKING AT THE 1236X2.WHAT KIND OF DEPTH DOES IT GET . DOES THE SILENCER MODE WORK GOOD I HUNT A LOT OF CELLAR HOLES.:detecting:
 
Use of the silencer around iron will blind the 1236X2 to partially masked non-ferrous targets that it would otherwise pickup. Sure, its quieter to hunt around iron with the silencer switched on but I do not recommmend it. Once you learn its language, which isn't hard to master, use low disc settings and dig the beeps and anything else that sounds better than the iron pops and clicks for best results.

For hunting heavy iron the depth is more than adequate.
