1266x vs 1270 which one is the deepest?

My first metal detector was the 1260x, got it when they first came out. Great machine literally wore it out and found ton of old coins. Purchased the 1265x when they came out (really hot one) and it was awesome, deeper and ran much smoother than the 1260x, loved it. Sold the 1265x when the 1266x came out and always regretted it. Didn't like the 1266x (very noisy because Fisher really cranked the gain up on it) to get the extra depth. In my opinion the 1265x (at least the one I had) was the best of the three. My dealer said that my 1265x was the hottest one he had ever seen. Never owned a 1270 so can't comment on that one!

The big difference I noticed was the 1266x and 1265x lose depth with higher disc settings and the 1270 does not.

Roger is right you will not get a machine that feels better in your hand than the 1266x or the 1265x, the 1270 is a bit heavy. I have owned all three and still have a 1270.
