12x10 sef coil vs T2 11" DD standard coil

Hi friends I have been using standard 11" DD coil for a long time and I have to say it goes very deep, super sensitive and weights only 400gr. However looks like it has a faulty shielding or something of that nature because it just became super noisy and it makes beep every time I hit or scratch something with it. So I have decided to buy a new one and I have seen very good review on 12x10 sef coil.
So my question is if you would have to decide between 12x10 sef and 11" DD standard coil, which one would you buy?
Thanks

Factory standard coil would be my choice. Plus if you bought the unit new it has a 5 year warranty and the coil may be covered if something extreme happened to it.

My theory is factory matched coils are better ......... May be wrong ,but that is how I see it..

I use the SEF12x10 coil on the T2 most of the time these days, its slightly deeper and covers more ground, but the main thing is the detector is more stable in mineralised ground. One thing i like and this is just my personal opinion i prefer the coil connecting to the bottom rod in the middle of the coil rather than at the end of the coil as the stock one,it maybe me but it makes it better balanced.

The 12X10 SEF is an excellent coil but that baby gets a bit heavy for some ( at least for me). Unless you need large coverage I would consider the SEF 8X6 as a good all around alternative . Like Mega B I like my coil to rod connection to be the center of coil . I have used the SEF 6X8 coils on both the Explorer and the White's M6 and was very happy with it's performance on both I would guess the one made for the T2 would perform well also .

Thanks guys. SEF 12x10 weighs 450gr and standard coil weighs 400gr so the weight is not the problem for me. From your replies I think SEF 12x10 is a bit better that standard coil, is deeper and more stable.
Thanks

Sorry , my bad . Apparently there isn't an 8X6 coil made for the T2 .

@ dirt doctor, not sure of your location but over here in Europe they make the SEF8x6 Coil for a wide selection of detectors,i assume that you are across the pond and i think someone else mention that they dont sell them in the US,i of course could be wrong about them being sold in the US but Detech do sell a 8x6SEF and its a very good coil.

and Kellyco doesn't have the 6X8 for the T2 for sale here . Too bad , I think it would be quite popular here .
