Hi all I just posted A reply on Msareborn post about gold Ring disappointment and was wanting to see-hear about everyones gold they found that was stamped with A gold # or K that was not gold heres A Pic of my most Disappointing gold find ever found it A couple years ago its stamped 14K but its not its Brass that sucks cause it weigh es 12 grams I know the person that lost it was sad-mad when they did but I know they would be more sad- mad if they found out they paid all that money for Brass instead of gold so beware all theres allot of fools gold sellers out there waiting to fool you hope everyone has A great year and that all the gold stamped # pieces you find are real HH All

I don't have the pic, but 3 yrs ago I found a very old signet ring marked 14k. It also turned out to be brass. Bummer.

Yeah, I found a big medallion stamped 14k that was junk! I got an acid test kit, and now just drop the acid right on the item instead of scratching it on the stone...its faster and no mistaking real from junk that way!
