14k ring and a piece of a class ring

Went for a night hunt and found some gold. The tide was coming up and the waves were big. Targets everywhere! First I found the chunk of a 10k class ring. Then I found all the other junk. I was heading on home and found the 14k ring (5g). All in the wet sand, I don’t have the patience to sift through the trash pin the dry.

Old 10k rings dont do well in salt water over time. The copper leaches out and they become brittle. Have found many older HS rings in pieces or fell apart after cleaning.
Salt water destroys too many good prizes. Thankfully 14k and up, hold up well over time.

Been a long time since I used the words 'targets everywhere'. Im sure that was a fun day !!!

Congrats,
