15/12sef coil

I am using a 15x12 SEF currently on a Silver umax. Only around 6-8 hours with it now, but it works pretty well. It is not much deeper than a 9x8, but it really hits hard on deeper coins and coins on edge while allowing you to keep your discrimination higher (i.e. the depth loss due to discrimination seem to take less of a toll).

Downsides... Pinpointing is sort of beastly. The deeper the target is, the harder it is to pinpoint because the detection area is like a big bowl or something like that. It is also heavy enough that you know you are swinging it. Things like cans can be really, really deep; I have had quite a few non-recoveries simply because I'd hit 10" and was not gonna dig any further for what was almost certainly a flat coke can.

The thing really eats up ground and the target separation isn't bad. I've been aware of side-by-side targets several times before digging, which is nice. I have no plans of parting with mine any time soon - I cannot wait to see how the Golden handles it. It gives you about the same coverage as a cleansweep coil, but at depth.
