15" coil ???

SWMO Mark

New member
Is nobody useing the new 15" coil? I figured the relic hunters would have jumped all over this new coil. Sure would like to hear some reports on this coil. Thanks, Mark

I have one but the fields have been pure sloppy deep mud for over two weeks. Make this %*#@$&* rain stop and I'll be talkin' then.

No one has them around Where I live. I'm on a list to get one when they become available.

Last I heard Dave J was winding them himself while watching re-runs of the Welcome Back Kotter

I was unwinding them to make sure production dept. put the right number of turns on them. Sorry, Cal, were those your coils I did destructive analysis on?

Seriously though.... the 15 inchers are being shipped, but the production process on these loops is labor-intensive and the processes require skill so we can't just throw more people at it. Our production capacity on the 15 inchers is therefore limited and the supply hasn't caught up with demand yet.

LOL...Dave thanks for keeping us in the loop (no pun intended) and I'm glad you have a sense of humor

I just sent my F75 LTD to Texas for a health check, hopefully when she gets back my # will come up for the new coil

HH,
Brian

Received the 15" coil this am and I am in the process of checking it out now----in the house that is----6" of snow last night and still snowing now. Thank goodness it is melting fast---but not fast enough. Will give a report soon---------as the snow melts---lol lol Looks like it would make a good steering wheel, lol

Keep us informed to what you find out about your new coil. I also am interested in the performance. I sure wish FT would come out with this coil for my F5.

Hey Cal Cobra, I'm with jmtn, keep us posted on the "health"check up on your LTD.....got me thinking...........hh rick in mi.

No chance to work with it today---6 more inches of snow last night and snowing this am. Friday's high is in the 6o's so maybe then?????????????

Barney--- The F75 and F5 operate at different frequencies (13KHz vs 7.5KHz) so the performance would not be optimal but the results would be interesting non the less.

I am also looking into the NEL tornado coil for my F5

Yeah I realize that but there can be a certain amount of "slop over" if that is what you want to call it---lol lol never know
