Has anyone used the 18 inch excellerator coil? Are they heavy? Does it ground balance good? Pinpointing Etc. Any feedback on this coil at all? I have the 6X10 DD and the 4X6 now. the 6 X 10 never comes off the machine. I am attending DIV in March and would like a DEEP coil!!

I use one and it is a deep coil. And yes it is heavy. It has found dimes at 13". It pinpoints as well as the stock coil. It tends to bend up or down if you tap objects because of its size which can be annoying. I can tell you one thing though this coil will cover some real estate.

I have not used the 18 inch, but I do have the 10x14 DD Excelerator. It is somewhat heavy but that problem was alleviated by getting an the EZ swing harness which takes the weight off your arms. Kellyco sells the EZ Swing and another which name escapes me. Contact JW at Kellyco and he can give you the information you are looking for on the 18 inch DD Excelerator. There may be some reviews of the 18" on Kellyco's website. HH Dennis in Idaho

Don't wory about how deep it goes if you are going to dig in Culpeper. Worry about how it does in bad ground ;) See you there.
