1827 large cent

Found this with theT2SE a few weeks ago in the same field where another l.c. along with a king george coin came out. The picture does not do it justice. This coin is in fine detail on both sides. Thanks for looking.

Very nice LC. Your soil seems to be kind to old coppers. That and maybe it hasn't had fertilizer,herbicides, and pesticides dumped on it for years and years.

Congratulations! The detail on your coin is awesome as is the size of that field! I know how you feel. I found my first large cent this year and I keep it on top of my dresser so I can heft and rub it every day and wonder how on earth it got to where I found it.

The soil where this coin came out is sandy and is real good for digging. I don't think it had too much chemicals put in it over the years. I have dug in areas where no chemicals were used and the relics came out toasted. Difference in the soil I guess.
